Gatt Consulting Ltd work examples:

  • Facilitated identification of purpose, role and work programme for the Resource Efficiency Policy team - Ministry for the Environment.
  • Conducted a review of the Creative Communities Scheme. The research involved a survey of all local authorities in New Zealand, and interviews and focus groups with grant recipients and other key stakeholders to produce four case studies and a report that included recommendations on the future shape of the Scheme - Creative New Zealand.
  • Conducted an organisational review of the New Zealand Council of Social Services (NZCOSS) using a mixed-methods approach to gather and report on the views of key stakeholders – NZCOSS.
  • Prepared and delivered a team training course on outcomes, indicators and targets to the Sustainable Outcomes Team – Ministry for the Environment.
  • Developed a good practice ‘Guidelines for Engagement’ to assist Labour Market Knowledge Managers in their regional and sector engagement activity - Department of Labour.
  • Set up a ‘best practice’ approach to grant-making (included developing: a strategic framework for best practice for all funding schemes and operational policies, new practices, processes, templates and guides for staff, applicants and decision makers for 6 Crown grants schemes and 7 Trusts, and templates for a business process manual) - Department of Internal Affairs.
  • Produced a Professional Development Programme including a strategic framework for ongoing professional development, an orientation programme and workbook for new employees and guide for managers, Branch induction programme, and ongoing training and development programme and tools – Department of Internal Affairs.
  • Managed the set up and implementation of an orientation and training programme – Department of Labour.
  • Designed and implemented a performance measurement programme consisting using the Balanced Scorecard approach – Manukau City Council. A Balance Scorecard for the Public Sector (Presentation to conference on Public Sector Performance, Wellington, October 2001).
